As Head of Ideation for one of the largest YouTube channels on the planet, I built a creative development and research department responsible for fueling MrBeast’s next big idea, and then build systems that make those viral ideas repeatable, scalable, and measurable.
I directed a cross-functional team of over 60 on-call creatives, designers, and writers, overseeing everything from title/thumbnail ideation to content format innovation. Our goal to come up with as many ideas as possible. And to do it again. And again.
My Role
Led the ideation department responsible for developing creative concepts, titles, and thumbnail concepts for the flagship MrBeast main channel
Built and ran a structured brainstorming system designed to turn creative instincts into predictable outcomes. In person, virtual, and solo.
Developed original formats, repeatable series, and audience-first concepts that informed both immediate production and long-term roadmap
Directed a thumbnail and art team to produce thumbnail concepts for packaging that aligned with the brand and maximized click-through and retention
Collaborated across production, analytics, and executive teams to greenlight ideas based on data, strategic positioning, and viewer behavior
Conducted ongoing research into virality mechanics, title frameworks, thumbnail trends, audience insights, platform shifts, creative inspiration, and competitive analysis to maintain a creative edge
